Michael Wenning, short bio

Through the late 1980s and the 1990s, Michael worked as a top-notch journalist on German network television. He previously lived in Washington, DC and now resides in Berlin.He started as a free lance reporter covering the civil war in Angola and Burma For ten years he was a top reporter for the German network ARD, where he also served as a reporter for the n ational network news series ZAK. The series is also nationally renowned as the recipient of several Gremmies, the German equivalent of the American Emmys. During his work as a reporter, he covered both international stories such as the Gulf War, the Rodney King Trial and gangs in Chicago, and local and national stories such as German right wing extremists (neo-Nazis) and the Turkish/Kurdish conflict, specialized on the conflict between the PKK and the Turkish groups in Germany..
